B/W HDR

I absolutely did not like these two photos before and I almost deleted them a few times already. But I think that they are quite interesting now in HDR and B/W. Please do comment…

Smoke

For this experiment I was inspired from Jure (JD23) and others. I don’t really know what kept me from trying to capture some “smoke photos” earlier. If you want to know how to do this at your own, read a post from Jure (JD23) where he explains how to shoot smoke. Here are the two best photos from my experiment…

Surfing in Morocco

The story continues…. So our main reason for trip to Morocco was surf camp. I must say that we learned a lot. Surf camp is located in Banana Village (Aurir) near the town of Agadir, on the Atlantic coast. We really had a great time there thanks to Iztok and Matej and others. I’m sure that I’ll be surfing some more….

So here are some photos, mainly of those who knows how to surf :P … Enjoy

Life in Morocco

As promised the story continues. This part of the series will be about life in Morocco.

ARCHITECTURE

The only interesting thing to photograph in Agadir, besides the people…

TRANSPORTATION

I have never seen so many taxis driving around. There are taxis that drive only between the cities, than only in city centers. The majority of cars are very old, so they are quite interesting for us Europeans, while we cannot see some cars like there at home. Next thing exciting or scary is how they drive. It seem that they have no regulations. When you go somewhere with a bus or taxi your adrenaline is pumping as you are wondering (are we going to crash)…

…old Peugeot…

…katrca :D

…grande taxi (long distance)…

…pimped car…:D

…in Morocco people don’t waste any empty seats…

LIFE AND PEOPLE

Life is pretty much nothing like we know it here in Europe. Everything is happening very slowly. The next photos shown here were taken in Aurir, Agadir and Marrakech.

Morocco trough the lens

At first I must wish you all a successful and creative upcoming year of 2008.

It was 26th of December 2007 when we left for Morocco Surf camp in Banana Village near Agadir in Morocco. We were a group of 4 and our goal was surfing, spending a new year somewhere warmer than Slovenia and having fun. We landed in Marrakech in about 3 and a half hours after take off in Venice, ITA. Once in Marrakech we took a bus to Agadir. Some 5 hours later, Slovenians from Surf camp were waiting for us at Agadir’s bus station and took us to our new home. Banana Village is located north-west along the coast from Agadir. We stayed there for 9 days and left back for Marrakech a day before our flight back to Venice just to be safe and to be sure that we catch the plane back. We also saw a bit of Marrakech in that day. We had 8 days without clouds and temperatures at about 24-25°C. It is nice to start a new year on a beach.

As always I have a lot of material (photos), that I’ll post to my blog once I process the photos and select the best ones. I’ll be probably posting them in groups, like surfing photos, than people in Morocco, landscapes and so on….I’m not sure yet. While I’m doing all that stuff, here are some photos.

Winter in Istra

It was a cold day with rain in Istra today. Anyway, as always I was carrying my equipment with me. I stopped in a little village near Pazin, which name I forgot already, and took these photos. I really like the colors and the details. The first photo is named “Zoom it in” and it is shoot at 70, 200 and 400mm. I like the other two photos because of their textures and colors also.
