Back in 2010 when I was visiting Philippines I met an interesting man, who we called Viktor. He took us on a tour around local villages, rice terraces and give us the opportunity to chat with local people and they also prepared us a little meal in one village. In October this year, photograph of Viktor ended up on a cover of a magazine called Svet & Ljudje (World & People – Slovenian magazine). Here is a little video and some memories from that lovely day back in the 2010. Thanks Viktor!

Going on a Safari was a dream for me for a long time. This dream finally came true this year.

I can’t describe how amazing it is to see wild animals in their natural habitat. I remember all of those amazing shows on National Geographic and other channels, but this was soooo much better. It was phenomenal!

Scenes from the following movie were shot in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara and Tarangire national parks in Tanzania.

A quick review of the year 2010 and some of my work.

I came across this movie a few days ago and I just have to share it with everyone who hasn’t seen it yet. Way Back Home is the incredible new riding clip from Danny MacAskill. It is just amazing!

In Summer 2010 we started a project to renovate our porch. The project took us 3 days to finish. This film shrinks those 3 days into 3 minutes. During the project I shoot nearly 15.000 frames. Watch in HD for best viewing experience.

This is pretty exciting news for Canon HDSLR owners who use Apple’s Final Cut Pro! Canon releases a free EOS E1 video plug-in for Apple’s Final Cut Pro. The plug-in is compatible with Final Cut Pro 6 or higher and currently supports Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 7D and EOS 1D Mark IV cameras.

This new plug-in allows simple and easy transfer of video content from Canon’s EOS DSLR cameras directly into Final Cut Pro. The EOS E1 video plug-in takes advantage of Final Cut Pro’s powerful Log and Transfer feature, which allows users to select and mark the video directly while it is still on the camera, add custom metadata and ingest the clips in the background so the editing can begin immediately.

The EOS E1 video plug-in is a free download and will be available here but so far, they haven’t posted it yet.

Endless Summer Fuerteventura is a short film and my personal project that was shot on Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). Fuerteventura is a surfers paradise and it is really close to those living in Europe (like myself). The weather is nice all year round so it is a perfect destination during winter.

This year the star of Phillip Morris, Sound Race party was Armand Van Helden. The party took place on Gospodarsko rastavišče in Ljubljana, just like last year, where the star was Fedde Le Grand. Check out a short video from this year!

Adventures in Hawaii – THE BIG ISLAND was made during my trip to Hawaii in March 09. Name The Big Island is actually a nickname. The real name of the island is Hawaii, but it is more known by its nickname. This island is vast in comparison to Maui and Oahu and offers all kinds of climates, from green ranches to dessert like terrain in the center, to winter/snow conditions on top of Mauna Kea witch is 4207m above sea level and you can drive right to the top!!! This is the only place on earth where you can go swimming in the sea with temperatures around 30 degrees celsius and in about 2 hours of driving later you are standing on top of Hawaii with temperatures reaching -8 degrees celsius, a lot of snow and wind gusts as you were in the middle of winter in colorado (this was my experience). There are so many things to see on this island and every single one of them is amazing!

This was the last island I visited during my stay on Hawaii islands and I must say it was an unbelievable trip. Here is video I put together from some random memories around the island.

This sunday I was in Munich, Germany. I went there to pick up a buddy of mine from Munich airport and meanwhile I visited BMW Museum in Munich. BMW complex is truly amazing. You can see the history of the company over the years and technological achievements and currently there is a temporary exhibition in the museum which holds some BMW prototypes. One of them is particularly interesting because it changes shape. You can read some more about it if you Google it (BMW GINA).  I took some pictures in the museum and shot a short movie about the prototypes. I recommend the visit.

MAUI was the second island that I visited and all of my memories are still alive as it was yesterday. MAUI truly is an exceptional island (not that other islands are not), you have a lot of beautiful beaches, rain forest, desert like terrain and craters on Haleakala, perfect surfing spots and more….
