BMW prototypes, Munich

This sunday I was in Munich, Germany. I went there to pick up a buddy of mine from Munich airport and meanwhile I visited BMW Museum in Munich. BMW complex is truly amazing. You can see the history of the company over the years and technological achievements and currently there is a temporary exhibition in the museum which holds some BMW prototypes. One of them is particularly interesting because it changes shape. You can read some more about it if you Google it (BMW GINA).  I took some pictures in the museum and shot a short movie about the prototypes. I recommend the visit.

Firmware update for 5D Mk II

It is finally coming!! Canon announced firmware update for EOS 5D Mk II with full manual exposure control in HD Movie mode. This update will include:

  • Full aperture selection
  • ISO speed: Auto, 100 – 6400 and H1
  • Shutter speed: 1/30th – 1/4000th second
  •  

    They wrote that the firmware will be available in early June. Once available you will be able to find it on this Canon page. I feel like it is Christmas already :)

    Smoke

    For this experiment I was inspired from Jure (JD23) and others. I don’t really know what kept me from trying to capture some “smoke photos” earlier. If you want to know how to do this at your own, read a post from Jure (JD23) where he explains how to shoot smoke. Here are the two best photos from my experiment…
